Sort of a tour of what i see every day.

I wake up to this.

Just hanging out.

I go up there when it is really hot because it is actually cool up there. We have soo many black outs so it is nice to find a place that is cool to hang out in. ( No electricity= no air conditioners and fans= everyone going mad)

Just wanted to show you guys what i see.

Today I washed my clothes by hand. The machine here has been messing up a lot of my clothes like all the colors fade into each other. It makes me SOOO MAD because i didnt really bring a lot of clothes and now a few of my shirts are like tie dyed. One of my new shirts i just brought here is now gray when it once was cream....... Sad i know. All the photos above were of today june 14,2010

It was really nice out yesterday when we got to the beach. The water was warm and they didnt have that much waves. My family kept complaining about it hahaha. The wanted COLD+WAVEFILLED waters.

They Copied Dunk and Donuts........This is my sister and I (not in the photo OBVI) waiting for my Tan to get out of work. We got frozen yogart! IT WAS REALLY GOOD. The mall is called "Now Zone" btw, it has some expensive stuff there :/

So I'm at my aunts house right now and I am unable to go on to Facebook. It is really difficult to go on to facebook here in vietnam i found out because Vietnam is communist and they like to control what people do on the computer because they are afraid of a revolt? I did some research on it because i thought it was odd that going on Facebook is sooo difficult. You should do some too if you are curious.

Well yesterday i got to go to the beach. It was fun. My grandma and i went on a romantic stroll down the beach ahahaha, i love her so much. We are going agian today, but with more people :). I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THE BEACH. The feeling of sand under my feet :)))))) all smiles. I'll post picture of today if it happens, because it is actually pretty cloudy outside today :(.

SO my grandma started me on sewing with her friend. My first lesson was yesterday, which i skipped on because my aunt invited me to go shopping. I didnt really tell anyone about me learning to sew here so no one knows about me taking lessons. Today i came late. The lady is reallly nice so she doesnt really care when i come in. She understands that i am on vacation so she said come whenever i am free. MY first lesson went..... not so well. SHe has an old fashion sewing machine that i SUCK AT. OMG sewing is soooo hard!! I cant even to a line well :/ she said she thought that i knew how to sew at least a little.... little did she know..... :) oh welll it is a learning process. I feel like giving up but i wont.

Over Nighter

Today we went to the city!!! YAY! My grandpa and grandma were going to the hospital for my grandpa's check up (in the city), so my sister, almost brother in law and I went with them to hang out in the city. We did what there is to do here, SHOP+ EAATTTTTT. I couldn't seem to find things I like for myself though sadly. I did find a lot of things i want to get for ppl, but i didn't even buy it. You know that feeling? The one were you want to buy it but you are lazy? Well that is what happened to me. Damn I dont know how to stop all of this from underlining!!!!!!
We stayed the night here in the city YAY!!!!! We didnt know we were going ton stay the night but we ended up doing so because my sister's hubby has work here tomorrow. so we might as well stay. She is wearing the shirt i bought today, im also wearing one of my new shirts. Tan (brother in law) decided it would be funny to jump behind the photo! hahah he is a goof.

SO the shoppes here are great for GURLZZZ. Nothing much for boys. There is a bunch of "designer" stuff i bet a lot of the girls in the AK would go GAGA for. They have the Chanel, LV, Hermez, Chloe and so on. I should start trying to figure out what to get for who.

Everyone should read cmsdowntherabbithole.blogspot.com It is my friend Chirstina's blog. She is writing about her events in NY. It reminds me a lot of Ho Chi Minh City (where i am at now). I MUST MOVE TO THE CITY IN THE FUTURE. I dont see myself anywhere rural.

We are currently watching Soccer.... my sister is trying to figure out the sport. World Cup is comming up soon and vietnam takes that SERIOUSLY. He is taughting her saying girls dont get sports, she says she is going to basically curb stomp him. And the battle of the lovers goes on.......

ME SICK!

There are black outs ever other day here in vietnam. They have been selling all there energy to other countries.

So other then that I haven't really been doing much. People live sort of boring lives here. They watch TV and take naps, sounds nice but I can't handle doing that every single day. My grandma is working on construction for her new coffee place. Every other year I am here she is doing something major. Last year she was working on her Hotel, and the year before that her motel. She is a busy bee! My grandpa is sick, and has been chilling at home. I feel bad because my grandma is never home to take care of him. Yesterday i got sick and my grandpa was like "why are you trying to copy me?" I told him that i just love him so much i want to be like him :) hahaha. Because i didnt feel that well i asked my great aunt to, i dont really know what it is called in english but it is an asian remedy to cure sicknesses. i wanted to show a picture of it because i think you guys would freak out if you saw it. I dont have a camera with me right now so i cant post a photo just yet.

So the funeral is over! Im just glad that great grandpa can rest in peace now. And that I can go do whatever. There is a 49 days from his death a celebration then 100 day marking of his death celebration happening in the future as well. It pretty much consist of food and lighting insents.

I brought some of my art work to vietnam in my sketch book and my family says it is pretty nice. So Truc, my aunt/ friend here in vietnam, and I are thinking about heading out to Saigon, the big city, to stay with family and go to art school there for a while. I asked my grandma and she was like alright go learn. She is the one paying for it so I had to ask her, shoot. Hahaha.

Well, that is it for what's going on here for now.

Vietnam Day 1-4

Since my time in Vietnam, so far there has been a lot that has been going on. There has alread been a death. My Great Grandpa has died at age 89. These 2 days since he has past on have been full of tears. I remember he would always tease me for being an American. He would call me a lying American... it was my fault for making him call me that. I told him I would do something but i never did. Makes me regret my actions, but i was a kid and i didnt know any better.

Even though there has been a death, my vacation is still fun. I went to the big city, Saigon, my second day here. IT WAS THE BEST! I have been to retail heaven. ALL THE DESIGNER NAMES FOR LOW LOW PRICES. I got a lucky someone a LV WALLET FOR A CHEAP PRICE... i wont tell the price because it is a gift and i shouldn't be telling people prices of gifts. Vietnam has really developed since i have been gone. A LOT OF NEW BULIDINGS have been going up around where i leave. Which i kind of dont like, but oh well. I live in a rual area and it sucks to see sky high aparments next to grass houses. I love the grasses house and the GHETTO of vietnam. Though I wish that wouldn't through all their trash on the floor all the time.

My family here and i dont see eye to eye on many sujects. We are from totally different worlds and i now understand that. The people here have a different sence of humor. All the kids tease me here... WOMP WOMP. I know i am being a baby but i cant help it! They tease be but they love me. They are forcing me to go to a celebration/ sleepover... I AM NOR GOING. ME in a room full of 4 through 10 year olds. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. So the popular thing here is like korean movie stars. My bratty cousin is in love with everything korean, all the kids here sing korean and adore the movie stars from there. Werid aye? They say vietnamese boy are ugly and wish they were all korean..... BITCHES.. haha jkjk.

ALl the pets here are sooo skinny. They make me miss Naomi's cat Twiggy sooo much! I talked about twiggy they other day to people they laughed. I also showed pictures.... what can i say i love Naomi's cat.

OMG the weather here is SCORCHING!The locals say that it is the hottest it has been in years and i AGREE!!! My body is sticky and sweaty as i write this.... 0.0 super cute i know hahaha.

Oh and all the kids here like to play Audition. It is a like computer game that you push buttons and dance... stuff i dont like to do because i dont really play video games that much. But i believe Geoffrey would love to play all these "fun" asian games. Well, blog to you later i got to go do something rather then sit here on the computer......... OMG this reminds me i have to start reading my summer books for AP....damnnn this sucks....... i dont want to do it.

The end of an era

So, I'm at school right now and I decided to write a blog because I haven't lately. School is almost to an end, and you don't know how happy I am about this! I will be in Vietnam all summer and will be keeping everyone who stops by my cite updated on my travels. I think I will be posting on here weekly, post photos and stories. I think it will be nice to chronicle my life as it goes during my trip. Well my friend Polly and I are leaving. SO, tell next time!
